Background:

RESEARCH: Each year FTEI research the training requirements of the forest sectors. Sectors requiring training courses are referred to as our 'Requirers'.
The information is collected and the training requirements are formulated into a Yearly Programme. As part of the formation for the  2011 Programme, FTEI have commissioned a 'Training and Education Needs Analysis Report for the Forest Industry'.

SECURE FUNDING: FTEI seek and secure funding for the forestry skills programme.

TENDERED: Each course in the programme is offered out to tender at different stages throughout a given year. The tender procedure and documents are available on the 'Tender' page of this website.
FTEI avail of independent evaluators to evaluate each tender. FTEI issue contracts to successfull ternderers who are referred to as our 'Providers'.

DELIVERY: The contractor delivers the course as set out in the contract and recorded on FTEI documents. FTEI visit course delivery sites from time to time.

COMPLETION: The contractor returns the required documents which the board review. Once approved by the board, payment is issued thereafter.

REVIEW: The board of FTEI review the programme progress continuously throughout the year.  Attendance and Contracts are monitored and noted for future decision making processes.
